Located in the heart of the town of Ambleside this traditional Lakeland slate building — which has been a hotel for around 300 years — is currently undergoing an exciting restoration ahead of its reopening in December 2019.

If you’re looking for a place to eat, drink, sleep and explore from in the Lake District, then The Ambleside Inn will be the place to come. Formerly The Queens Hotel, our stunning location close to England’s largest lake Windermere will make us the perfect base from which to explore the National Park.

From water sports and boating on the lake, tourist attractions and first-rate shopping, to first class walking in the splendour of the Lakeland fells, there really is something for everyone.

Coming soon — delicious homemade pub food served all day, every day; a wide range of drinks and quality bed and breakfast accommodation in 30 newly refurbished bedrooms complete with stunning views across the fells.
